Sweetspot NV, a leading iGaming operator in the Netherlands, has announced the acquisition of a Swedish Bingo operator. The move sees Sweetspot expanding its operations into new markets and marks another step in the company’s aggressive growth strategy.
The acquired operator, which is yet to be named, is a well-established player in the Swedish market with a database of over 200,000 registered players. It offers both online and land-based bingo products, giving Sweetspot a strong foothold in both the online and brick-and-mortar markets.
Commenting on the acquisition, Sweetspot CEO John Palfreyman said: “This move is in line with our stated aim of growing our business into new markets. Sweden is an attractive market for bingo players and we are confident that we can replicate the success we have had in the Netherlands here. The deal marks Sweetspot’s second acquisition this year, following its purchase of Dutch slot operator Videoslots last month.
